FLAVIA’S STORY

Flávia Oliveira has always been into sports, but it was only at the age of 25 that a friend introduced her into cycling. “It was as if the driven, dedicated athlete in me had always felt like I failed at the other sports, either I got injured (swimming) or wasn’t a “natural”(soccer). I had to work extra hard at it, but it wasn’t until I found the bike that everything seemed to “click”, it came a little late, but I am glad that I found it!”, says Flávia.

Last year, Flávia has been a guest rider for Lares-Waowdeals during the Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l’Ardèche, in which she finished 2nd on the Mont Ventoux, won a stage, and took home both the GC- and QOM-jersey. She also finished 7th at the Olympic Road Race in her home country.
