Thalita wins GP Sofie De Vuyst

Last Saturday, some of our girls participated in the GP Sofie De Vuyst, a race organized by some fans of waowgirl Sofie De Vuyst in her honor. They did an excellent job on showing the team colors throughout the race!

Thalita de Jong managed to escape from the peloton and the other waowgirls protected her escape. This way, Thalita could ride solo towards the victory! Only one other rider could break away from the peloton, but she crossed the finish line 1’27 after Thalita. In the bunch sprint for third place, Bryony van Velzen finished third just ahead of Mieke Docx who finished fourth. Sarah Inghelbrecht finished 13th, Daniela Reis finished 30th after putting in a lot of hard work to protect Thalita’s break away and Tara Gins crossed the finish line in 37th position.
